UHMW Polyethylene & Skived PTFE (Low Friction) Sitemap

UHMW (ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene) film tape and skived PTFE film tape are two unique types of low-friction tapes designed to offer a low coefficient of friction. This means that materials are able to slide freely over the tape's surface with no slipping or sticking.

  • JVCC Skived PTFE Film Tape [5 mil carrier] (PTFE-5)

JVCC PTFE-5 Skived PTFE Film Tape is a 5 mil pure skived PTFE film tape with a high temperature silicone adhesive. It comes self-wound without a liner. Used in electrical applications such as harness/coil wraps & separators, transformers and slot liners where good insulation and heat resistance are required. Also used in mechanical applications such as heat sealing bars & jaws, labeling machine pressure pads, chute liners, anti-friction devices, bearings, forming dies, aircraft mold release & guide rails where high temperature, maximum slip, and lubricity are required. High elongation of PTFE-5 permits tight wrapping and conforms to sharp bends/irregular surfaces.
