Friction Tape Sitemap

Friction Tape Sitemap

Cohesive fractioned cloth tape, also known as friction tape, is a cloth tape that is frictioned on both sides with adhesive marking for excellent cohesion. It's commonly used as a secondary wrap for electrical maintenance and spot-holding on wire harnesses, but can be used in many environments where you want to enhance friction or grip. For example, many people use this type of tape on hockey stick blades for better puck control.

  • Duck Brand Friction Tape [Cohesive]

Duck Brand Friction Tape is used if you want to get a better grip on your tools, sports equipment or other handles that may have lost their grip. Duck® Friction Tape covers slick hand-holds and adds supportive grip to cables, wires and other materials needing increased surface texture. With its aggressive adhesion and ability to tightly wrap and overlap most held surfaces, it’s ideal for every toolbox or sports bag. Plus, its discreet black color goes great with whatever you can get your hands on. The tape is referred to as friction tape since its cotton cloth carrier is frictioned on both sides with an adhesive (the tape is designed to adhere best to itself, not to other surfaces).

  • JVCC Friction Tape (FR-1)

JVCC FR-1 Friction Tape is a black cotton cloth with a non-corrosive rubber resin adhesive. Its cloth backing makes this tape easily hand tearable an extremely conformable. Highly resistant to humidity and galvanic corrosion. Holds tightly on rough and irregular surfaces, its adhesive system will not dry out. JVCC FR-1 Friction Tape is used for insulation and to protect industrial harnesses and electrical wires from physical damage caused by friction, or overwrapping low voltage splices and general electrical maintenance jobs.

  • Scapa Cohesive Friction Tape (167)

Scapa 167 Cohesive Friction Tape is a black 100% cotton cloth tape, frictioned on both sides with an entirely solvent-free adhesive consisting primarily of synthetic rubber, inorganic fillers, and oil (the tape is designed to adhere to itself, not other surfaces). Uses for Scapa 167 Friction Tape include secondary wrap for electrical maintenance and spot (temporary) holding on wire harnesses. This tape can also be used as blade wrap for hockey sticks for better puck control. To apply this friction tape, simply unwind and place the adhesive side to the mounting surface and add firm pressure. Make sure your surface is free from oil or other surface contaminants such as powder, dust, or release agents. In addition, adhesive performance should be checked carefully when used on substrates containing plasticizers.
