Skived PTFE Tapes Sitemap

Skived PTFE film tape has a wide variety of practical features that make it appropriate for myriad uses, including in electrical applications and heat-sealing. The primary characteristics of Teflon skived tape are heat-resistance, maximum slip and high lubricity.

  • JVCC Skived PTFE Film Tape [5 mil carrier] (PTFE-5)

JVCC PTFE-5 Skived PTFE Film Tape is a 5 mil pure skived PTFE film tape with a high temperature silicone adhesive. It comes self-wound without a liner. Used in electrical applications such as harness/coil wraps & separators, transformers and slot liners where good insulation and heat resistance are required. Also used in mechanical applications such as heat sealing bars & jaws, labeling machine pressure pads, chute liners, anti-friction devices, bearings, forming dies, aircraft mold release & guide rails where high temperature, maximum slip, and lubricity are required. High elongation of PTFE-5 permits tight wrapping and conforms to sharp bends/irregular surfaces.

  • JVCC Skived PTFE Film Tape [High Density, 2 mil carrier] (PTFE-2HD)

JVCC PTFE-2HD Skived PTFE Film Tape is a 2 mil high density tensilized pure skived PTFE film tape with a high-temperature silicone adhesive. JVCC PTFE-2HD provides higher tensile strength, lower elongation, and higher dielectric strength than regular skived film. It is primarily used for electrical applications listed above and for roll protection in flat die extrusion.

  • JVCC Skived PTFE Film Tape [10 mil carrier] (PTFE-10)

JVCC PTFE-10 Skived PTFE Film Tape is a 10 mil pure skived PTFE film tape with a high temperature silicone adhesive. The image does not show a full 18-yard roll.

  • 3M Skived PTFE Film Tape [2 mil carrier] (5480)

3M 5480 Skived PTFE Film Tape uses a combination of low friction/non-stick polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and a powerful silicone adhesive to form a tape that can be used as a quick solution to reduce friction between moving surfaces or function as an anti-stick or easy-release medium. PTFE’s exceptional temperature range and chemical resistance make it ideal for use on equipment that is heated/may experience temperature increases while in use, as a layer of protection from chemicals that may cause buildup, or to assist in the movement of web materials in roll wrap applications. Excellent in MRO applications to reduce squeaking, rattling, and reducing overall machine noise. Suitable for use in temperatures ranging from -65° (-54°C) to 500°F (260°C). Uses & Applications Roll-wrap for web processing, belts, and plates where sticky materials and inks may occur Squeak and noise reduction Shielding and protecting against chemicals Mold release for composite bonding
