Shurtape FP-96 General Purpose Kraft Packaging Tape is a general purpose paper tape used for packaging, binding, splicing, holding, tabbing, carton sealing, reinforcing, banding and patching for a variety of substrates. Shurtape FP 96 features a strong, flexible and conformable backing with high cross-direction tensile strength. It has an aggressive, high tack adhesive with excellent holding power and excellent quick stick, particularly effective in cold weather. The tape color blends well with cardboard and Kraft cartons and unlike traditional packaging tapes the tape can be torn by hand. Resists curling, abrasion, water, solvents and oil. This tape is a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape and does not need water to activate it like a gummed paper tape.
- JVCC FPPT-01 Kraft Flatback Paper Packaging Tape
JVCC FPPT-01 Kraft Flatback Paper Packaging Tape is a brown color kraft flatback paper coated with a natural/synthetic rubber blend adhesive system. Good for carton sealing applications, moderate demand splicing applications, tabbing and/or core starting. Complies with Postal Regulation for Uninsured Packages. May be used in picture framing applications to seal back of frame/artwork due to its ability to stick to its own backing. This tape is a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape and does not need water to activate it like a gummed paper tape. The tape is hand-tearable and is not repulpable. This tape is now coming from a different manufacturer so please see the updated tape specifications and the revised color for the tape.
- Intertape PS1 Premium Paper Flatback Tape
Intertape PS1 Premium Paper Flatback Tape has a royal blue heavy-duty saturated paper flatback backing, a non-printable release coat, and a pressure-sensitive synthetic rubber/resin adhesive. Royal blue color provides easy identification of splices, even in high speed operations. Manufactured to perform under a wide range of humidity and temperature conditions up to 400°F. Intertape PS1 provides excellent adhesion to flooring materials and heavy kraft surfaces. Offers a positive splice under constant web tension; e.g. belt sander splices. Also works well on PE coated liquid boxboard. Automotive grade / stain resistant adhesive. Used also for holding, mild to medium grit blast, and as paint adhesion (cross-hatch) test tape. Product is not repulpable.
- Shurtape FP-202 Premium Grade Bleached Flatback Packaging Tape
Shurtape FP-202 Premium Grade Bleached Flatback Packaging Tape is used for splicing and hand and machine carton sealing applications as well as in general purpose applications when a thick paper backing is necessary. Constructed of a heavy duty kraft flatback paper coated with a high tack rubber-based adhesive with excellent quick stick properties. Shurtape FP 202 resists abrasion, water, solvents and oil. When it is used as a carton sealing tape, meets or exceeds requirements for motor freight, railway, air express, air freight, postal shipments and government packaging. Shurtape doesn't call out any USPS specifications specifically on any of their paper carton sealing tapes; however FP-202 does meet the ASTM D5486M specification for PSA box sealing/closures.
