Adhesive Transfer Gun Tape, more commonly known as ATG tape, is a type of adhesive transfer tape that is unsupported by a carrier or backing (film, cloth, paper). This pressure-sensitive adhesive is applied to a release liner and then rolled, reverse wound, onto a plastic spool. ATG tape has many uses for home craft projects, in art and photographic industries and by other professionals for assembling promotional products.
FindTape offers the highest quality ATG tape rolls for refilling ATG tape dispensers. This special tape is manufactured by leading brands 3M Scotch, JVCC and Scapa. We carry acid neutral, high tack, repositionable, removable, heavy duty and standard ATG tapes in various sizes and widths.
Important: Please refer to your ATG tape dispenser instructions for ATG tape compatibility, so that you order the correct size of ATG refill roll.
How to Use Adhesive Transfer Tape
Since these tapes come reverse-wound, they must be dispensed with a specially designed ATG tape dispenser. The release liner is on the underside of the tape when the tape is unwound. The refill roll, which has a plastic core, will securely snap onto the ATG tape gun. To apply, press the handle trigger so that the spool will move freely as tape is dispensed on your item's surface. During the application, the release liner will be automatically wound up by the dispenser's take-up spool. This saves you the time and trouble of having to pull off and collect the liner. Release the trigger to stop the application. The adhesive strip is now ready to attach to another piece of material.
