Online Retailer to Donate 10% of Merchandise Sales To Operation Homefront During Memorial Day Week
Skillman, NJ, May 5, 2015 -- This Memorial Day, FindTape.com will honor military families and the sacrifices they make by donating a portion of its merchandise sales to Operation Homefront, a national nonprofit dedicated to providing assistance to military families.
The company also hopes to help Operation Homefront raise awareness about the needs of military families due to financial hardship, death, injury, or physical or mental detriment as a result of service since 9/11.
Hundreds of thousands of families face tough times and require emergency assistance. Returning service men and woman may suffer from post-traumatic stress, brain and bodily injuries, and emotional struggles. They and their families may need financial or food assistance, transitional housing, or repairs.
"FindTape.com has strong ties to the military, servicemen, and their families," said FindTape.com owner Kevin Mahoney. "One of my grandfathers served in combat in World War I and the other in World War II and one of my closest childhood friends, Robert Valley, who is also the owner of the primary tape converter we work with (JV Converting), is a veteran of both Operation Just Cause in Panama and the Gulf War in Iraq while serving as a member of the 82nd Airborne. Many divisions of the U.S. military are also FindTape.com customers. I was working in downtown Manhattan on 9/11, and this is one way I can say thank you for the courage they show and the daily sacrifices they and their families make in service to our country."
From May 22 to May 28, 2015, for each purchase a customer makes on FindTape.com, the company will donate 10% of the total merchandise price to Operation Homefront. The company plans to donate up to $10,000 to the nonprofit during the promotion.
