Product Description

Use JVCC V-36P Premium Colored Vinyl Tape to put your organization in compliance with OSHA requirements for lane marking and safety coding. This high-quality vinyl tape is available in many colors and is suitable for a wide variety of uses in indoor public, commercial and industrial settings. JVCC V-36P vinyl tape is also known as Splice Tape, Dance Floor Tape and Marley Tape. It has 25 percent more adhesion and is 1 mil thicker than regular standard JVCC V-36 vinyl tape which gives it its premium name. This colored vinyl tape is also perfect for marking parts and accessories, since sharpie markers write well on it, and color coding cell phones and other devices with their accompanying chargers and accessories.

QUESTION: can this easily be removed from a wall without damaging paint?
ANSWER: JVCC's V-36P product does not offer any type of UV protection so if exposed to UV and left on for a while would most likely cause damage to drywall. You would want to look at a painter's tape with UV protection if looking for clean removal from a wall surface. Thank you.

QUESTION: I am looking for exterior all vinyl tape ( NOT CLOTH TYPE DUCT TAPE) is your JVCC V-36P Premium Colored Vinyl Tape on your website similar to scotch exterior surface vinyl painters tape. I need different colors to mark parts that sit outside
ANSWER: JVCC's V-36P product is not designed to be used outdoors but can look at a stucco masking tape like Shurtape PE-444 (see https://www.findtape.com/p372/) for an outdoor removable film tape. However, that is polyethylene film and not vinyl.

QUESTION: Would this stick to plywood? We had arches built on the exterior of our home and there is a gap that needs sealed. This might work temporarily.
ANSWER: Adhesive tape in general does not adhere well to unsealed wood. Also vinyl tape offers pretty low adhesion (only around 20 ounces per inch or so) so works much better if wrapped around itself like an electrical tape.

QUESTION: Will this hold over a Chevy emblem?
ANSWER: Yes, it is very sticky and has good holding power. I used it on boat seats and it has held up well.

QUESTION: Can i use it in my piol liner?
ANSWER: No, JVCC's V-36P tape is very low adhesive and not designed for outdoor use on a pool liner. For temporary use on a pool liner can try an aggressive duct tape like Polyken 231 in a wider width.

A+ rating of the company, customer service, assistance and response time. Adhesion of the product left a lot to be desired. Stuck well to itself on roll, but not on other surfaces. The width of the rolls and the color we needed are unusual, so these might have just been in their inventory too long. We were not able to use them and ended up masking/painting the markings required instead.

Bought the yellow JVCC V-36P Premium Colored Vinyl Tape in a 5 inch width to fix the seats on a John Deere Gator. The idea was to tape the seats which had popped loose from the molded seat frame all around the edges. The tape is good. It color matches the vinyl upholstery very well, and sticks well to it. My idea was bad, because the seat frame is molded from some low-surface energy plastic like polypropylene, which virtually nothing will adhere to. If you want to tape over a crack in the vinyl upholstery, this will work great, though.

hot melt rubber (synthetic)
Offers the widest range of application flexibility available. Exhibits excellent processing performance whether manually or automatically applied. Has superior tensile strength, adhesion properties and holding force which ensures consistent, reliable seals. Hot melt adhesive will bond faster to a surface which is referred to as quick-grab or quick-stick. It typically has higher tack (will feel stickier to the touch), but is also softer. It has lower heat resistance, shear resistance, and sometimes UV resistance than an acrylic adhesive. NOTE: it is called hot melt because the adhesive is applied hot by the manufacturer and then hardens as it cools (you do not need to apply heat to the tape yourself).
natural rubber
Properties are similar to that of hot melt rubber, but natural rubber often holds where other adhesives won't (recycled fibers, dust, cold, heat and heavy loads). It provides good overall adhesion and moisture resistance.
acrylic
Offer excellent performance, especially for applications in temperatures less than 40°F and greater then 120°F. It provides excellent clarity, has high shear strength, is usually more permanent/durable even when exposed to moisture, and it ages well over extended periods in fluorescent and sunlight. Since it remains clear for the life of the application and does not yellow over time it is ideal for applications such as sealing white cartons. While it has good initial adhesion it does take 24-48 hours to cure and to achieve its maximum bond strength (has gradual adhesion buildup). Another difference between hot melt rubber and acrylic adhesive is if you fold tape over making the two adhesive sides touch the acrylic adhesive will remain attached to the carrier (e.g. paper, film) while a hot melt adhesive will stick to itself and pull off of the carrier. It is the best choice for clarity, UV resistance and aging characteristics.

Is great for extreme temperature applications since silicone adhesive can work in continuous operating temperatures from -100°F to 500°F. They also exhibit good chemical resistance, retain electrical properties, and remove cleanly with little or no residue.
zinc oxide
Zinc oxide based adhesive formula is a skin-friendly adhesive which is commonly used on sports medicine tapes.
Thickness, AKA caliper or gauge, refers to the distance from one surface of a tape backing, or adhesive, to the other.
1 mil = 1/1000 of an inch
Examples: 1/16 inch = 62.5 mils; 1/32 inch = 31.25 mils
The cut level indicates how many grams of cutting load a glove can withstand from a sharp blade before being penetrated.
Lower gauge gloves are heavier - have thicker construction, fewer stiches knitted per inch and offer less dexterity.
Higher gauge gloves are lighter - have thinner/finer construction, more stitches knitted per inch and offer more dexterity.
Gloves offered typically runs from 7 to 18 (12 and 13 are in the middle of the scale).
